Use of AI
Stories on aipulzo are drafted by large language models. A model is given a news topic, published reporting about it where available, and a brief, then writes an explainer: what happened, the context, and what it means. We say this plainly because readers should know how what they read was made.
Sources
- Stories are written from reporting already published by other news organisations. We do not do original reporting.
- When a story is based on a specific article, that article is credited and linked at the end of the story.
- Models are instructed not to invent quotes, figures or events. They can still make mistakes, so follow the source link to confirm anything important.
Checks before publication
- A rule-based review scores each draft for structure and style, and low-scoring drafts are sent back to be rewritten.
- Drafts that are too short, contain broken formatting, read like shopping promotions or lack an image are held back as unpublished drafts.
- Topics we have already covered are filtered out before writing. When duplicates slip through, they are merged into one story and the old address redirects to it.
- These checks do not verify facts against the source.
Bylines
Bylines on aipulzo are house pen names. They are not individual human reporters, and their profile pages say so.
Opinion
Pieces in the Opinion section argue a point of view. They are AI-drafted like the rest of the site.
Corrections
Report an error through the contact page. Stories found to be wrong are corrected, or removed when they cannot be fixed.
